 "method": "One open script (bench.py, beside this file, whose header lists what changed after this run) timed every endpoint from the same client with the same 12 texts, 24 kHz 16-bit mono PCM everywhere, in a shuffled round-robin so every vendor shared each minute. Warm requests reuse one open connection per endpoint after 2 discarded warm-up requests; cold requests open a new connection inside the clock. First byte is the first response data for the utterance. First audible is the later of the first audio chunk's arrival plus the leading silence and the arrival of the chunk carrying the first 10 ms window above -45 dBFS RMS. Leading silence is the audio before that window. Total is when the response ended: a socket's completion message or the end of an HTTP body, and on ElevenLabs' socket, which sends no completion message, the last audio. Percentiles are numpy's default linear interpolation over the successful requests.",
